This policy explains what personal information I collect on eliyasianiart.com, why, who I share it with and the choices you have. "I" and "me" means Eliya Siani, the artist who runs this site and sells the paintings and prints on it.
What I collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, the items you ordered, any note you add, and the payment status PayPal reports back to me (for example the transaction number and amount). I use a phone number only if there is a problem with the delivery.
When you send a message or a commission inquiry: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message, and any reference photos you attach.
Technical information: like every website, the servers that run this site see your IP address and basic browser information. I keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address, used to stop spam and abuse.
What I never receive: your card or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal; card numbers go straight to PayPal and never reach me or this site. There are no customer accounts or passwords on this site.
How I use it
- to make, ship and support your order, and to send you order and shipping emails;
- to answer your messages and commission inquiries;
- to keep records I am required to keep for taxes and accounting;
- to prevent fraud, spam and abuse of the site.
I do not use your information for advertising, and I do not send marketing emails unless you ask to hear from me.
Who I share it with
Only with the services that make the site work, and only what each one needs:
- PayPal processes payments (PayPal, Venmo and debit or credit cards). PayPal handles your payment details under its own privacy statement.
- LumaPrints, my print lab, receives the name, shipping address and phone number for print orders so it can print and ship them. It ships in plain packaging with no invoice.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, stores order records and protects the site from spam (Cloudflare Turnstile).
- Resend delivers the site's emails (order notifications and form messages).
- Google (Gmail) hosts my email inbox, where order notifications and your messages arrive.
- Shipping carriers (for example UPS, FedEx or USPS) receive the delivery address when I ship an original painting myself.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights in a dispute (for example a chargeback). I never sell personal information, and I do not share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your shopping cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is still there when you come back; it is not sent to me until you check out. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from bots, and PayPal sets its own cookies when you use its checkout.
How long I keep it
- Order records: as long as needed for taxes and accounting, normally 7 years.
- Messages and commission inquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they turn into an order.
- Security logs: a few days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (except what I must keep for legal or tax reasons). Email eliyasianiart@gmail.com and I will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights; I honor them for everyone. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing, which I don't do anyway.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, payments happen on PayPal, and access to order records is limited to me. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but I take reasonable care to protect your information.
Where your information is stored
I am based in the United States, and the services above store and process information in the United States and other countries.
Changes
If I change this policy, I'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
